Dear Recruiter,

Thanks for being a great recruiter and reading my LinkedIn — kudos to you!

If I replied to your message or email with a link to this page, it’s because you didn’t read my LinkedIn summary—shame on you for spamming me!

Either way, I know your job is tough, and I have mad respect for those who’ve hung in there as a recruiter for years.

To make your job easier, I created this page. It’s meant to replace that first phone call you’ll want to have with me, answer a few of your standard questions, and give you some information about whether we’ll be a good fit.

Here’s everything you need to know:

  1. I run my own business.
  2. I’m not looking for full-time employment.
  3. I’m not looking for contract-to-hire.
  4. I’m open to discussing contracts for short-term projects or b2b (referral bonus included).
  5. I’m really picky about what I say yes to.
  6. I work strictly remotely – I’m open to on-site client meetings, but that’s about it.
  7. I’m usually more expensive than the average contractor.
  8. I don’t do timesheets…see number 7
  9. I don’t have a resume, and I won’t create one. My LinkedIn project sections should be more than enough.
  10. I don’t give out reference information until an offer is extended or a statement of work is signed.
  11. If you want to know more about my skills, you can check out my LinkedIn profile.

How you’re probably feeling right now…

As you can see, I’m not the ideal candidate for most recruiters. However, every so often, a recruiter does have a client who is searching for someone as specific as me.

If you’re looking for a top-notch consultant and are okay with my specifics, then email me or message me on LinkedIn with details: what this project is, who it’s for, and anything you would like to know if you were going to take on the project.

Otherwise, just connect with me on LinkedIn. I like having a good network of recruiters since friends of mine are sometimes looking for new opportunities.

Thanks,
Luis Vazquez
