Movie stories and characters

Movies can be entertaining and impactful. They each tell us a story involving a set of characters.

Most characters are based off of real life people. Sometimes a character will have characteristics that belong to a combination of people. Each of us can imitate and actually become like a specific character in a movie – crazy when you think about it.

What a person cannot duplicate is the story a movie tells. This is where many miss the mark. People imitate characters found in movies (or music videos) and end up in some bad situations because they can’t replicate the story of the character since that’s what is dramatized (with the exception of the classic “based on a true story” movies).

An example of this would be adults who believe that real life romance will be like the classic movie type of romance. While a woman can find a man who is similar to a movie character and vice versa, they will never be able to replicate the story of those characters. That’s important to know.

If we plan to feed ourselves entertainment, we better be able to distinguish fiction from reality.
