Get ready first

Your friend has a new goal and wants to accomplish something incredible. They decide to dive into their new goal which starts to consume most of their time and becomes a priority in their life.

It’s been a year since your friend went all in. You bump into them and ask about their progress. They talk about how great their goal was but that “circumstances” in life didn’t allow them to succeed.

Let me tell you what probably really happened. They didn’t see results quick enough. Perhaps a task was too difficult and it stumped them for longer than they expected. Maybe their “all-in” mentality wore off and their commitment slowly declined as it was no longer a priority. To sum it up, when things got rough, they bailed.

They are the “circumstances” in life that didn’t allow them to succeed.

Many of our incredible dreams, goals, and projects don’t come to life because we’re simply not ready for them. Build character first, then skills, and success will gladly meet you.

Prepare yourself for the week by asking yourself these questions:

  1. What goals have I been working on?
  2. Am I ready for them?
  3. If not, what will I work on to get myself ready?
