Dim the light while the city sleeps

Early mornings when it’s still dark outside or late nights when there isn’t a soul in sight. Those are the times when my creative juices begin to flow naturally. No nudging required.

There’s something about sitting in my home office with a cup of tea and a dim light while the city sleeps that sparks a conversation with my creativity. No distractions. No structure. No order. Just the task at hand.

Whether it’s coding, writing, praying, or simply reading, ten minutes in that type of environment sometimes feels like an hour — in an extremely satisfying way.

The great thing about it? That space not only produces some of my best work, it also recharges me. It calms my nerves, gives me peace, and expands my thinking. No drugs required.
