A squirrel’s lesson

Have you ever stayed still long enough to observe a squirrel?

Squirrels are a lot like us. They are busy animals who build homes, hunt, store, eat, play, and rest. They can do all of this while dwelling in a city.

However, the squirrel beats us in one area: they are always fully present.

When they build a nest, they’re on a mission. Eating a meal is incredibly satisfying to them. Packing away food is a seasonal goal in which they work towards daily. Squirrels play with each other to the fullest and rest most peacefully later. Again, they can do these things throughout the hustle and bustle of a city.

If a squirrel can execute and fully enjoy every one of their tasks, why can’t we?

Perhaps the greatest lesson we can learn from our little woodland friends is to be fully present regardless of the hustle and bustle of life.
