3 months later…

It’s been about three months since I last blogged. My apologies to my small list of subscribers. Life has been BUSY.

Since my last blog post, here’s what has happened.

Let me start with the good.

I’ve been to 2 museum conferences (#MW2015 in Chicago and #AAM2015 in Atlanta) and worked like crazy on a cool project for Kohler Co.

I’ve met some awesome people in the last 3 months – museum people and Kohler people.

Ready for the not so good?

KiwiJar  beta was not launched when I thought it would be. I also fell behind on my #MuseumStory podcasting series. To be honest, my main priority has been completing the Kohler project. It’s been feeding me lately.

Here’s another thing that isn’t good or bad: I shaved my head and have been rockin’ this “hairdont” (opposite of hairdo, no?) for over 2 months now. It feels great!

Listing all the things above confirms what I’ve always suspected:

Rarely are we ever in the place we expected to be. For better or worse.

Priorities change, situations change, people change.

Does this mean we can’t meet what we set out to accomplish? Heck no. Accomplishments are definitely ahead my friend!

Keep your “goal compass” handy. You may deviate from your map but if you follow the general direction, you’ll eventually arrive.

For those of you with delayed side projects, don’t beat yourself up too bad. It happens.

What matters is what you do next.

Will you prioritize so that you can complete your side project or does it not matter enough?
